What epoxy do we use? We use Ecopoxy Flow Cast

Having troubles figuring out how to calculate the amount of epoxy you need for a project? Most people have this question when they are making river tables. The calculation for determining the amount of epoxy you need is a simple volume calculation. You multiple the length of the pour, for example, the length of the slab, by the depth of the pour, thickness of the slab, by the average width of the pour, the space between the slabs, and then convert to liters. When calculating the average width of the pour, we measure the width every few inches along the entire work area and then divide by the total number of width measurements you took to determine the average.

Formula: Length (L) X Depth (D) by Average Width (AVG W)

Example:

Length: 60″

Depth: 1.5″

Average Width: 7″

60” x 1.5” x 7” = 630 cubic inches.

You can now convert your cubic inches in to liters. This can be completed 2 ways:

1) Convert using google: Type “630 cubic inches to liters” in to the search bar.    630 cubic inches = 10.3239 Liters

2) you can divide your cubic inch total by 61.

630/61 = 10.3239 Liters.
